Building a Sustainable Future: Renco’s Transformational Approach
The Energy Transition
Over the past few years, Renco has been pioneering the path toward the energy transition. In 2023, our efforts were amplified.
In the energy sector, we have been heavily focused on finding innovative technologies for green energy production. While, in the building sector, we are committed to implementing industry-recognised sustainability standards and practices, such as BREEAM, LEED, and WELL certifications, across all our projects to ensure we optimise energy efficiency and consumption.
Our commitment to environmental sustainability extends beyond traditional projects in the energy and building industries. Renco’s pioneering Ja.Ca.Mbé afforestation and reforestation project is an innovative example of the efforts we are making in championing sustainability on a global scale. The project is creating carbon sinks capable of absorbing millions of tons of CO2. In addition, the project will support the local community by providing access to education, healthcare, and vital infrastructure.
Our focus on social sustainability means that we understand the impact and responsibility we have toward the local communities in which we operate. Through our Renco Foundation, we have built critical infrastructures such as schools and hospitals in impoverished areas, supporting our communities to thrive.
Social Responsibility
A dedicated commitment to the well-being of our employees is just as pivotal. Our focus on the protection of diversity and inclusion in our workplaces was recognised in 2023, as we obtained the Gender Equality Certification, an esteemed award which highlighted our efforts to provide women with equal opportunities in the workplace.
Gender equality training has also become a critical component of our on-site activities, as we have integrated this training into our global on-site inductions. In 2023 we become involved in the 2121 programme, an important initiative that seeks to re-integrate incarcerated individuals into the workplace.
As always, safety is ingrained within our work culture. To date, Gender equality training has also become a critical component of our on-site activities, as we have integrated this training into our global on-site inductions.
With Renco it more than meets the eye, we are heavily focused on diversifying our business on a global scale. Along with our work in the energy and construction sectors, Renco has also been expanding its foothold in the asset management sector, along with working on a diverse set of projects within each sector. Our focus on sustainably and market diversification has meant that in the 2023 fiscal year, we closed with a production value of €593 million, marking a 33.6% increase compared to December 31, 2022.
