A Rigorous and Transparent Analysis
The research evaluated over 600 companies based in Italy, focusing on those with the highest revenue or listed on the Italian stock exchange.
The ranking was determined by calculating the Compound Annual Reduction Rate (CARR), which measures the average annual reduction in CO2 emission intensity between 2021 and 2023.
A Clear Focus on CO2 Reduction
The analysis considered CO2 emissions across:
• Scope 1: Direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by the company, such as fuel combustion for heating or refrigerant gases.
• Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heating, or cooling used by the company.
Renco achieved a CARR of 43.96%, showcasing a strong ability to reduce emissions while aligning with European sustainability standards.
