Renco for the new Microsoft Data Center

Renco, in partnership with Terna S.A., has officially won the tender to build a brand-new state-of-the-art data center in Spata, near Athens, in Greece for Microsoft.

Environmental and Energy Sustainability

Work on the project commenced mid-March 2024, with an expected completion date towards the end of 2025.

The project presents a prime opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to innovation and sustainability on a global scale, working with one of the world's most well-respected technology players. The Ballard-type centre will be constructed on a 22.3-hectare site within the Spata business park. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies with a total installed capacity of 19.2 MW. The centre will consist of two units, each housing four cells of 2.4 MW. The project will also involve the construction of an operational and administrative support and a water storage facility. Work on the centre is done in full compliance with LEED requirements to ensure adherence to standards for environmental and energy sustainability.
